Sunday: Ordinary 27A, Proper 22A

The righteous will live by faith

Sentence
Forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, let us press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13b-14

Collects
Almighty God, creator of all things and giver of every good and perfect gift, hear with favour the prayers of your people, that we who are justly punished for our offences may mercifully be delivered by your goodness, for the glory of your name; through Jesus Christ our Saviour, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. BCP. Septuegesima

Let us pray [that God will forgive our failings and bring us peace.]
Father, your love for us surpasses all our hopes and desires. Forgive our failings, keep us in your peace, and lead us in the way of salvation. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. AAPB

Almighty God, your Son Jesus was the stone rejected by the builders, and, by your doing, he has been made the chief cornerstone: grant that, by the power of his Spirit working in us, we may become living stones built up into your dwelling place, a temple holy and acceptable to you; through Jesus Christ, our Lord , who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. APBA
