The King and the Kingdom

Sentence
      the harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few; ask therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into the harvest. Luke 10:2
 
Collects
      Lord, give your people grace to withstand the temptations of the world, the flesh and the devil, and with pure hearts and minds to follow you the only God; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. BCP. Trinity 18
 
      Let us pray [for forgiveness through the grace of Jesus Christ.]
      Father, through the obedience of Jesus, your Servant and your Son, you raised a fallen world. Free us from sin and bring us the joy that lasts for ever. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. AAPB
 
      God of the covenant, in our baptism you call us to proclaim the coming of your kingdom: give us courage, as you gave it to the apostles, that we may faithfully witness to your love and peace in every circumstance of life; in the name of Jesus Christ our Redeemer, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
