Sunday after Ascension, 7th of Easter C

Waiting on God

Sentence
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Acts 16:31

Collects
O God, the king of glory, you have exalted your only Son Jesus Christ with great triumph to your kingdom in heaven: leave us not desolate, but send your Holy Spirit to strengthen us, and exalt us to where our Saviour Christ has gone before, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for evermore. Amen. BCP. Sunday after Ascension.

Let us pray [that we may recognize the presence of Christ.]
Father, help us to keep in mind that Christ the Saviour lives with you in glory and promised to remain with us until the end of time. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. AAPB

Almighty God, whose blessed Son before his passion prayed for his disciples that they might be one, as you and he are one: grant that your Church, being bound together in love and obedience to you, may be united in one body by the one Spirit, that the world my believe in him whom you have sent, your Son Jesus Christ our Lord; who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. APBA
