      I am not ashamed of the gospel; it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who has faith. Romans 1:16

      Almighty God, whose never-failing providence governs all things in heaven and earth: we humbly ask you to put away from us all hurtful things, and give us whatever may be profitable for us; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. BCP. Trinity 8
 
      God of justice and mercy, from whose glory all have fallen short, and by whose free gift all may be saved through faith in your Son: help us to hear his voice and to know your will, that our lives may be built securely upon the only sure foundation, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. APBA
