Sunday: Ordinary 20B, Proper 15B

The will and call of God

Sentence
Jesus said, "Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood abide in me, and I in them", Jn.6:56

Collects
God our Father, you have prepared for those who love you such good things as pass man's understanding: pour into our hearts such love towards you, that we, loving you above all things, may obtain your promises which exceed all that we can desire; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. BCP Trinity 6

Let us pray [that the love of God may raise us beyond what we see to the unseen glory of his kingdom]
God our Father, may we love you in all things and above all things and reach the joy you have prepared for us beyond all imagining. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. AAPB

Everliving God, your Son, Jesus Christ, gave himself as living bread for the life of the world: give us such a knowledge of his presence that we may be strengthened and sustained by his risen life to serve you continually; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you in unity with the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. APBA
