7th Sunday after Epiphany

Love and forgiveness

Sentence
In the Son of God, Jesus Christ, every one of God's promises finds its 'yes'. 2 Corinthians 1:19-20

Collects
Grant us, Lord, we pray, the spirit to think and do always such things as are right, that we who cannot do anything that is good without you, may in your strength be able to live according to your will; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. BCP. Trinity 9

Let us pray [that God will make us more like Christ, his Son]
Father, keep before us the wisdom and love you have revealed in your Son. Help us to be like him in word and deed, for he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. AAPB

Almighty God, in signs and wonders your Son revealed the greatness of your saving love: renew your people with your grace, and sustain us by your power, for we can do nothing good without you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. APBA

Hymn or Chorus first line
Travelling on the road together
He who would valiant be
Lift up your heads
Come down O love divine
O for a thousand tongues to sing
Souls of men why do you scatter
Even so Lord, send your spirit
I will arise and go to Jesus
