5th Sunday after Epiphany A

The gospel proclaimed

Sentence
'Is not this the fast that I choose,' says the Lord: 'to loose the bonds of injustice, and to let the oppressed go free?' Isaiah 58:6

Collects
God, our refuge and strength, the author of all godliness, hear the devout prayers of your church: and grant that what we ask in faith we may surely obtain; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. BCP. Trinity 23

Let us pray [for God's protection]
Father, watch over your family and keep us safe in your care, for all our hope is in you. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. AAPB

Faithful God, you have appointed us your witnesses, to be a light that shines in the world? let us not hide the bright hope you have given us, but tell everyone your love, revealed in Jesus Christ the Lord, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. APBA
