The Epiphany of our Lord

The nations see God's salvation

Sentence
Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. Isaiah 60:1

Collects
O God, who by the leading of a star manifested your beloved Son to the gentiles; mercifully grant that we, who know you now by faith, my after this life enjoy the splendour of your gracious Godhead; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. BCP. Epiphany

Let us pray [that we will be guided by the light of faith.]
Father, you revealed your Son to the nations by the guidance of a star. Lead us to your glory in heaven by the light of faith. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, or ever and ever. Amen. AAPB

Eternal God, who by a star led Magi to the worship of your Son: guide the nations of the earth by your light, that the whole world may see your glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Everlasting God, who brought the nations to your light and kings to the brightness of your rising: fill the world with your glory, and show yourself to all the nations; through him who is the true light and the bright morning star, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. APBA
