Collects
      Almighty God, you have conquered death through your dearly beloved Son Jesus Christ and opened to us the gate of everlasting life: grant us by your grace to set our mind on things above, so that by your continual help our whole life may be transformed; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit in everlasting glory. Amen. BCP Easter Day.

      Let us pray [that we may know the risen Christ]
      God our Father, by raising Christ your Son, you conquered the power of death and opened for us the way to eternal life. In our celebration today raise us up and renew our lives by the Spirit that is within us. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. AAPB

      Glorious Lord of life, by the mighty resurrection of your Son you overcame the old order of sin and death to make all things new in him: grant that we, who celebrate with joy Christ's rising from the dead, my be raised from the death of sin to the life of righteousness; through him who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. The Hymn of the risen Christ
      Christ our passover has been | sacrificed for us:
      so let us cele|brate the feast,
      not with the old leaven of cor|ruption and wickedness:
      but with the unleavened bread of sin|cerity and truth.
      Christ once raised from the dead | dies no more:
      death has no more do|minion over him.
      In dying he died to sin | once for all:
      in living he | lives to God.
      See yourselves therefore as | dead to sin:
      and alive to God in Jesus | Christ our Lord.
      Christ has been | raised from the dead:
      the first fruits of | those who sleep.
      For as by | man came death:
      by man has come also the resurrection | of the dead;
      For as in | Adam all die:
      even so in Christ shall all be | made alive.
      Glo|ry to God:
      Father, Son and | Holy Spirit;
      As in the be|ginning so now:
      and for ever | Amen.
