3rd Sunday after Easter A, 4th of Easter A

The Good Shepherd

Sentence
'I am the good shepherd,' says the Lord. 'The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.' John 10:11

Collects
Almighty God, you alone can order the unruly wills and passions of sinful men: grant to your people that they may love what you command and desire what you promise, that so, among the many and varied changes of the world, our hearts may surely there be fixed where true joys are to be found; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. BCP. Easter 4

Let us pray [that Christ our shepherd will lead us]
Almighty and ever-living God, you give us new strength from the courage of Christ our shepherd. May he lead us to join the saints in heaven, where he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. AAPB

God of all power, you called from death our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep: send us as shepherds to rescue the lost, to heal the injured, and to feed one another with understanding; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. APBA
